This giant tribute will entail 35 local performers! Veterans will march in with their Flags plus a re-enactment of Iwo Jima Flag Raising! Dick Strauss returns with his Many Happy Returns Orchestra with the Radio Rosies and Valery Sarno.

New Berlin Veterans Day Ceremony

New Berlin Mayor Dave Ament will conduct the city’s annual Veterans Day ceremony at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, in the council chambers at New Berlin City Hall, 3805 S. Casper Drive.


The ceremony will include participation from the New Berlin Hoeppner Horn VFW Post 5716, the American Legion Post #488 and the New Berlin Community Band. 


The public observance will honor those who have served the country. The observance will be aired on local cable channel 25.

Mercury Marine Veterans Day program

This program is for all Veteran employees and Veteran partners of Mercury Marine.

Lunch will be served at 12:30 PM, followed by a tour of the Plant and of our Heritage Hall.

At 3:00 PM there will be a ceremony in our auditorium where Brigadier General Brian Winski will be our key note speaker.  After the ceremony there will be cake and refreshments served.

The Military & Veterans Resource Center (MAVRC) at UW-Milwaukee presents the 3rd Annual Milwaukee Veterans Ball. The Milwaukee Veterans Ball is Southeast Wisconsin’s premier Veterans Week event and remembers the service and sacrifices of our nation’s heroes. Current and former service members from all branches of the U.S. military gather for this special evening of dining, dancing, and camaraderie.


The Milwaukee Veterans Ball is also an opportunity for veterans to come together and engage with community supporters. Engaging veterans through this unique event contributes to the goal of a successful transition to civilian life for all past and current service members and reminds these individuals they are not alone.

The Dryhootch Wisconsin Warrior Summit is dedicated to coordinating a comprehensive, community response to the mental health needs of veterans and their families.

Keynotes and breakout sessions will feature the voices and perspectives of veterans. The summit will inform clinical professionals, veterans and their families, as well as the public, on the needs of veterans, their families and the treatment/ resources that are in place to support them.

New this Year! A research track with presentations and posters focused on community-academic partnerships to address veteran issues.
