Advanced Welding Institute

Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 8637, and Advanced Welding Institute (AWl) have formed a partnership to enhance the employable skills of Veterans.

This program will be offered at AWl Vermont and AWl Wisconsin locations. At no cost, each participant will have the opportunity to experience the welding trade for a potential career. The Veterans Goodwill Weld Training Program will consist of a two day (consecutive) training program at AWl facilities, including one night lodging at a local approved accommodations  partner, and a meal at the local VFW.

Each Veteran who would like to apply for this training must contact AWl, a minimum of two(2) weeks in advance of anticipated training time, to ensure availability of booth space and accommodations. Veterans accepted into this training program, must provide proof of being in good military standing.


Program Fee:
Training - complimentary
One Night Accommodations - Complimentary
VFW Meal - Complimentary
Travel -Veteran must provide or contact your local VFW


Personal Equipment needed:
Boots
-     Jeans or pants (not torn or frayed) Baseball cap or skull cap
Long sleeve shirt (may receive damage from sparks)
